Hitman’s creators, IO Interactive, have decided to end their association with Conor McGregor, the renowned mixed martial artist.
This announcement surfaced on Twitter after a woman who accused McGregor of rape won a civil lawsuit against him. The studio expressed that it simply couldn’t overlook the ramifications of the court’s decision.
Conor McGregor had previously been featured in Hitman’s The Disruptor DLC.
“In light of the recent court ruling regarding Conor McGregor, IO Interactive has made the decision to cease its collaboration with the athlete, effective immediately. We take this matter very seriously and cannot ignore its implications,” said IO.
Starting today, they will begin the process of removing all content that includes McGregor from their platforms.
