Event Details and Privacy Policy
The "Super Smash Bros. Ultimate European Online Challenge: Winter Clash 2024" invites players to participate in a thrilling online competition within the popular Nintendo Switch game, Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. Hosted by Nintendo of Europe SE from their headquarters in Frankfurt, Germany, this event promises to bring exciting gameplay and fierce competition to fans across the continent.
Event Schedule and Locations
Mark your calendars for Friday, December 6th, when the event will run from 18:00 to 20:00 CET (or 17:00 to 19:00 UK time). This competition is open to gamers residing in a broad range of European countries, from Austria to the UK, and everywhere in between. However, participants located too far from central Europe, such as those in the Azores or the Svalbard archipelago, may experience connectivity issues preventing their participation.
How to Participate
To join the fun, ensure your Nintendo Account is set to one of the participating countries and that you have an active Nintendo Switch Online membership. It doesn’t matter whether your membership is a paid one or a free trial. Once your account is ready, access the game and dive into the event by selecting “Online” followed by “Official Tourney Qualifiers” from the main menu. Make sure to play at least one tourney match to officially enter the challenge.
Climbing the Tourney Scoreboard
The essence of this competition lies in achieving the highest possible Tourney score, which reflects your skill by evaluating your match results and the Tourney scores of your opponents. Players can conveniently check their scores anytime during the showdown. There’s no limit to how many matches you can play within the event duration to boost your score, and matches that start within the event window but finish later will still count.
Winners and Prizes
At the event’s conclusion, the top 10 players scoring the highest will each be rewarded with 2,500 My Nintendo Gold Points. Those finishing in the following top 100 will receive 1,000 Gold Points each. It’s important to ensure your country setting remains in the participating list throughout to avoid disqualification.
Cheating or exploiting gameplay in any way will not only disqualify you but could also lead to a suspension or termination of your Nintendo Account, as per the Nintendo Code of Conduct. Prizes are fixed, with no cash alternatives available.
Prize Delivery
Winners can expect their hard-earned Gold Points to appear in their Nintendo Account within two weeks post-event. You can easily track this by checking the My Nintendo Point Log once logged in.
