Today marks the launch of Alien: Rogue Incursion on both PSVR 2 and PC VR headsets, while the Quest version, featuring that thrilling Xenomorph-infused horror-shooter experience, is set to arrive in February next year. Interestingly, the developer, Survios, has already rolled up its sleeves and is hard at work on ‘Part Two’.
We had the chance to delve into Part One and shared our thoughts in a comprehensive review. We awarded it a sturdy 7 out of 10, praising its deeply immersive world and gripping storyline. However, we noted that these positives were somewhat overshadowed by recurring enemy types and a rather unforgiving save system.
Standing on its own, Part One offers around eight hours of engaging gameplay with waves of Xenomorphs and a compelling story. Yet, it leaves players wanting more and sets the stage for Part Two of this epic adventure.
While exact details on what’s coming aren’t fully clear, Survios teases that the sequel will introduce much-needed variety, moving beyond Part One’s repetitive Xenomorph encounters. They’re continuing Zula’s journey, promising tougher enemies and more formidable challenges, with development already underway.
Meanwhile, the focus shifts to the Quest release of Part One, scheduled exclusively for Quest 3/3S on February 13th, 2025. Cramming those dynamically loaded levels, intricate textures, and physics-based interactions onto the Quest 3’s hardware is no easy feat—likely explaining the delay for this version.
Still, with the foundational elements already established in Part One, fans are hopeful that the follow-up to Zula Hendricks’ epic battle to cleanse the rogue science station of the last spitting Xenomorphs will arrive swiftly.
