With Boxing Day upon us, there’s no shortage of developers I’d feel like punching, and it’s safe to say I’m not alone in that sentiment.
Let’s start by catching up on what we missed last week. Surprisingly, Quilts and Cats of Calico, once an Indie World gem, launched without warning. Additionally, a new bullet hell shooter, Dodonpachi Saidaioujou, dropped in North America, alongside Taito’s Warrior Blade, which joined the Archives lineup.
I’ve been spending the holidays at my parents’ place, which quite literally sits in the middle of nowhere. This made getting online more irritating than usual. There was nothing remotely captivating on the eShops either. Meanwhile, across the pond in Europe, they’re seeing games with duplicate screenshots from various publishers, and I think North America might have gotten one of those games a few weeks prior. Go figure.
As the season wraps up, I wish you all a Merry Christmas, Happy Hanukkah, or whatever joyous occasion you celebrate. Here’s hoping Nintendo gets its own visit from some motivational spirits to sort things out for the better. Until next week!

Following this, on Friday, "Thinking of You: Beyond Time" makes its debut at $24.99. If you’re into shooters, "Trench Shooter: Warfare Tactics" arrives this Friday for $12.99. For "Star Trek" fans, "Star Trek: Legends" beams down at $11.99 on Wednesday, and if you’re after a speedy thrill, check out "Cyberpunk Speed Assassin," priced at $10.99.
European Releases:
Our friends in Europe are treated to some similar titles, with "Restaurant Tycoon" launching at €29.99 this Wednesday. Notably, "Paw Paw Destiny" enters the scene on Monday for €14.99. And if rhythm-based challenges are your thing, "BeatBlast: Rhythm Rampage" gets in on the action this Wednesday at €5.99.
Japanese Offerings:
Japan sees the launch of several intriguing titles such as "Restaurant Tycoon: My Cooking Empire" for ¥4680, and "The Owl Lurking in the Dusk and Subaru at Dawn," both priced at ¥3300. Also on the list, "Universe For Sale" looking interesting at ¥2500 and "Trench Shooter: Warfare Tactics" available for ¥1999.
Stay on the lookout for sales as well, with notable drops like the "Ace Attorney Investigations Collection" getting its first-ever discount of 25% until January 6th.
