Sid Meier’s Civilization VII is making its way to PC and consoles on February 11th, but here’s the exciting news—Firaxis and 2K Games have announced that a new version is also arriving for Quest this spring.
Exclusively designed for Meta Quest 3 and 3S, this Quest-specific edition offers a unique take on the classic game. Imagine constructing your civilization from a first-person perspective, getting a majestic view of your map in both virtual reality and mixed reality modes.
Developed by PlaySide Studios and published by 2K, Sid Meier’s Civilization VII – VR is set to revolutionize the gaming experience. It will feature not only solo gameplay but also online multiplayer matches, accommodating up to three other players who own Quest 3 or 3S.
Another exciting facet of this edition is how it will bring the well-loved series’ famous world leaders to life. Players can expect face-to-face interactions, witnessing the leaders’ reactions firsthand as alliances are formed or wars are declared.
While there’s no specific release date yet, 2K has slated a launch window for Spring 2025, revealed during the Civ World Summit event held this past weekend.
For now, you can add Sid Meier’s Civilization VII – VR to your wishlist on the Horizon Store, specifically for Quest 3 and Quest 3S.
