Apple’s suite of AI tools, known as Apple Intelligence, which has been available on iOS and Mac platforms, will make its way to Vision Pro this coming April with the official rollout of visionOS 2.4. If you’re a developer eager to explore, activating developer mode lets you dive in right away.
Expect Apple Intelligence to pack all the groundbreaking AI capabilities into Vision Pro. This includes writing aids, generating images with AI, sending smart replies, searching through Photos in natural language, and more. Everything introduced since its debut in October is here, enhanced by Vision Pro’s voice and hand-based text inputs.
Alongside these updates, Vision Pro will improve its Guest User mode. This feature allows easy sharing of your Vision Pro with others via a nearby iPhone or iPad, simplifying the often tricky task of guiding a newcomer through the experience. It alleviates the “tap this, no, not that” routine we’ve all performed when showcasing XR headsets.
Version 2.4 also launches the Spatial Gallery—a curated collection of spatial photos, videos, and panoramic views crafted by artists and filmmakers. This feature will be available to users in countries such as Australia, Canada, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Japan, Korea, Singapore, Taiwan, the U.A.E., the UK, and the U.S.
In other exciting updates, Vision Pro will sync more closely with iOS. Once visionOS 2.4 is released in April, Vision Pro users can manage app and game downloads, explore spatial content, and view device information directly from their iPhone through the new Apple Vision Pro iOS app, which is set to launch with iOS 18.4.
Initially, Apple Intelligence’s features within the 2.4 update will support only U.S. English, but additional language support and features are on the horizon for later this year, according to Apple.
Although a precise release date is still pending beyond the anticipated April timeframe, a developer beta for visionOS 2.4 is currently available. To gain early access, head to Settings > Privacy & Security. Enable “Developer Mode” and restart Vision Pro to begin.
