We don’t have a ton of details on Space Marine 3 just yet, but what we do know is exciting. Saber Interactive has confirmed that the game will feature both a campaign and multiplayer mode. Fans are eagerly anticipating the sequel, especially since Space Marine 2 set things up brilliantly for a follow-up. At the conclusion of the last game, we saw our hero Titus standing victorious over the Chaos forces and Tyranids. Then, he embarked on a mission alongside Ultramarines Chapter Master Marneus Calgar, though where they’re heading remains a mystery. Interestingly, Titus also participated in a daring suicide mission against Chaos cultists in Amazon’s Secret Level anthology series.
Reflecting on the first two installments of the Space Marine series, each opened with an alien menace—the Orks and Tyranids—only to later introduce a Chaos Space Marine adversary like The Chosen of Nemeroth and the Thousand Sons. While it’s too early to pinpoint exactly which villains will be causing havoc in Space Marine 3, the intriguing Necron technology revealed at the end of Space Marine 2 suggests they might have a part to play in the upcoming game.
