It appears that a film adaptation of the recently launched game Split Fiction is currently in the works. According to a report by Variety, the project is being managed by Story Kitchen, an outfit known for assembling casts, writers, and directors for various adaptations. Previously, they were involved in adapting Hazelight’s earlier hit, It Takes Two, for Amazon. They are also working on adaptations for titles like Toejam and Earl, Slim Rancher, and Vampire Survivors.
The buzz around this project is significant, with numerous high-profile Hollywood studios eager to get involved.
Split Fiction hit the market this past March, with impressive sales numbers—it reached one million units sold within just 48 hours and climbed to two million by the end of its first week.
Hazelight expressed their amazement on Bluesky, saying, “Holy crap, we’re blown away! Simply amazing.” They went on to thank both new and longstanding fans for their enthusiasm and support.
In terms of casting for the upcoming It Takes Two movie, Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson is on board, while the screenplay is being crafted by Pat Casey and Josh Miller, the talented duo behind Sonic the Hedgehog.
