Thunderful has pulled back the curtain on the second developer diary for "Lost In Random: The Eternal Die," heading to the Nintendo Switch soon.
This time around, Oskar Hanska, the game’s narrative director, takes center stage, diving into the intricacies of storytelling, character choices, and the art of voice acting within the game.
Stormteller Games, once known as Thunderful Gothenburg, is spearheading this new chapter in the darkly enchanting "Lost in Random" universe, steering it towards a rogue-lite action experience.
As the story unfolds, we find ourselves in a twist of fate where Mare the Knight holds Aleksandra, the former Queen, and her ally Fortune captive inside the formidable Black Die. To escape, players must battle through a maze of randomly crafted challenges, comprising monstrous pawns and larger-than-life board games.
Victory in these trials rewards you with treasures that boost your odds against Aleksandra’s captor. But remember, it’s your sharp mind and loyal die companion that will ultimately guide you through this sinister maze where chaos reigns supreme.
The publisher has laid out what players can expect from this adventure, featuring:
-
Mastery Meets Chance: Dive into exhilarating, split-second combat where real-time action meets strategic choices with a sprinkle of luck.
-
Forge Your Playstyle: Command four distinct weapons, deploy your die-companion, and synergize over 100 relic combinations with potent card-based powers to craft devastating effects.
-
Ever-Changing World: Navigate through four uniquely generated realms, each laden with secrets and obstacles, as you confront more than 30 diverse enemy types and challenging bosses.
- A Dark Fantasy Tale: Get lost in the immersive voice-acted narrative set in a world reminiscent of Tim Burton, brought to life by hauntingly beautiful visuals and an evocative soundtrack.
