An intriguing engineering puzzle is making its debut on Quest this week, presenting bridge-building enthusiasts with a host of new challenges in both virtual and mixed reality formats on the Quest platform.
Bridge Constructor Studio was initially set to be released last week. This immersive bridge-building simulation is now arriving on Quest, allowing players to construct, test, and tweak their creations in mixed reality—specifically tailored for Quest 3. Although there’s been a slight delay, it’s definitely worth the wait.
Launching on December 12th, Bridge Constructor Studio introduces players to a campaign filled with 70 unique puzzles. Your goal? To transport an array of vehicles from one side to the other using a variety of building materials, including wood, steel, cables, concrete pillars, and more to construct solid roadways.
In contrast to earlier flat-screen versions of Bridge Constructor (or its notable rival, Poly Bridge), this XR edition doesn’t initially impose constraints on your budget or materials. That said, if you’re looking to ramp up the challenge, enabling these restrictions can earn you a nifty “special award,” as noted by it’s creators.
Beyond the campaign, Bridge Constructor Studio invites you to get creative with its Scenario Creation Mode. Here, you can design and experiment with your own bridge-building adventures, saving up to 40 custom levels that reflect your personal touch and style.
Developed by ClockStone STUDIO, the minds behind both the flat-screen and XR iterations of LEGO Bricktales (2023) and the original flat-screen Bridge Constructor series launched back in 2011, this game provides a fresh take on a classic concept.
Available at an affordable price of $10, Bridge Constructor Studio is set to arrive exclusively on Quest 2 and 3 come December 12th. Eager builders and puzzle solvers can access it on the Horizon Store.
