Each Synth boasts five progressive levels, each offering distinct bonuses. However, leveling becomes increasingly challenging as you go, so it’s wise to rotate your Synths regularly. This strategy keeps your team well-rounded and constantly gaining new abilities.
Take the “Psitek” Synth, for example. This Synth can light torches right off the bat. By reaching level three, it learns a fire slash move that destroys projectiles, an asset in specific dungeons. Beyond this, Psitek’s level-up bonuses tend to focus on combat enhancements. Therefore, you might find it beneficial to switch to another Synth to unlock new abilities without needing hefty experience points.
Early on, you’ll snag a boat—a leftover from the lab’s scientists—letting you navigate the Genesis Archipelago freely. The region is peppered with small islands brimming with bonuses like extra hearts, stat boosts, and spendable currency. If you’re not one to explore every nook and cranny, you can head straight for the main islands. There, the scientists continue their nefarious activities, waiting for you to challenge them.
The main islands have their share of boss Synths, but optional islands might house them too. Catching all 40-plus Synths is no walk in the park, yet every corner of the archipelago holds valuable rewards for the diligent explorer.
