Chronostrike has just joined the ranks of SUPERHOT-style games in VR, offering a fresh cooperative shooter experience on the Quest. Crafted by the team at Greensky Games, known for their work on Swarm 2, Chronostrike adopts the signature mechanic from SUPERHOT VR where time progresses only as you move. The game boasts 60 levels that draw inspiration from the mind-bending 2010 film, Inception, set in a future world of 2135 where hacking digital memories turns time into your greatest weapon.
Teamwork sits at the heart of Chronostrike. You and a fellow agent must collaborate to unravel and survive a sinister “centuries-old” conspiracy that threatens the Earth. Players can exchange weapons, deflect incoming bullets in slow motion, and must be aware that a single hit spells the end.
With its launch last week, Chronostrike expands the lineup of SUPERHOT-style VR games. Noteworthy among these is Action Hero from Fast Travel Games, which offers a cinematic twist by having players perform in various movie scenarios. Similarly intriguing, COLD VR by Allware flips the core mechanic, with time slowing when you move, whereas Vendetta Forever added an exciting ‘Hot Action’ feature.
You can dive into Chronostrike on the Meta Quest platform now, priced at $25.
