If you’re a PlayStation Plus Extra or Premium member, there’s something exciting on the horizon for you this year. So far, four games are set to join the service’s Game Catalog as soon as they debut. First up is Remedy Entertainment’s multiplayer FPS, FBC: Firebreak, which has announced a new release window in the summer of 2025.
FBC: Firebreak unfolds in The Oldest House, the headquarters of the Federal Bureau of Control and the backdrop for the highly praised game, Control. This time around, Remedy Entertainment is shifting gears from their usual deep storytelling to focus more on the gameplay itself. They’re also steering clear of the typical “fear of missing out” pitfalls commonly found in live-service games. Everything you can play will be free, and you can explore it at your own speed without worrying about missing out.
The latest trailer spotlights the Paper Chase Job, one of the various missions you’ll encounter in FBC: Firebreak. Here, the Firebreak Initiative is tasked with cleaning up an area in The Oldest House overrun by rogue sticky notes. You’ll also catch a glimpse of the loadouts available to help players counter the ongoing Hiss threat.
Once it hits the market, FBC: Firebreak will be accessible on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Epic Games Store and Steam.
Along with FBC: Firebreak, three other games are set to roll out as part of the Game Catalog on launch day. These are Lost Records: Bloom & Rage, Blue Prince, and Abiotic Factor. Currently, PS Plus Extra and Premium subscribers can dive into the first part of Lost Records, with the subsequent installment arriving next month.
Moreover, if you’re a PS Plus subscriber, you can jump into the PS Store’s Spring Sale ahead of others. There are fantastic deals to be had on titles like Cyberpunk 2077 and Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 right now.
