Sick of hearing about “Dune Awakening” without getting in on the action? Well, don’t give up hope just yet! The game is opening its doors for a free beta weekend from May 9 to May 12.
To jump in, you’ll need to either wishlist the game before May 9 or snag one of the many beta codes the team will be sharing over the weekend. It’s “open,” but only if you get lucky—think of it as a door slightly ajar.
This beta opportunity comes shortly before the game’s original launch date of May 15, which was delayed for a little extra polish by the team at Funcom.
During the beta, players can explore the first two regions. Delve deep enough, and you’re looking at around 20 hours of gameplay. This includes investigating a few Research Facilities, testing early class abilities, and indulging in a bit of PvP at ship crash sites—a nice appetizer for what’s to come. And if you’re curious about our take, we’ve got a fresh preview of “Dune Awakening” that dives into this exact segment.
