Koei Tecmo, the renowned Japanese gaming company, has announced the appointment of Hisashi Koinuma as its new CEO. He will assume his new role beginning April 1, 2025. Prior to this promotion, Koinuma was the chief operating officer and also served as the president and general manager of the company’s entertainment division.
In an interesting move, Koei Tecmo is reorganizing itself into two separate entities: Koei Tecmo Games and Koei Tecmo Corporate Finance.
In a message to shareholders, the company stated: “We aspire to become the leading digital entertainment company globally, guided by our ethos of ‘creativity and contribution.'”
They continued, “We’ve been methodically planning for a transition to a new generation of leadership through our Nomination and Compensation Committee’s deliberations. To drive further growth and enhance profitability, we’ve opted to introduce a fresh management structure starting with the fiscal year 2025.”
