Since making waves with Iron Meat’s release in September, Retroware has been busy laying the groundwork for major updates to this modern retro hit!
The latest big update is now available on Xbox, delivering a tempting array of fresh content waiting to be explored.

### Mirror, Mirror
A popular request from players, Mirror Mode, flips your perspective by letting you tackle every level from the left. Although altering the x-axis might seem minor, it transforms each enemy encounter, boss battle, and level into an entirely new adventure. Unlock this intriguing mode after completing the game on any difficulty level!

### Red Rapid Fire
Introducing the automatic Supercharge upgrade, or as fans might call it, the “third” tier of weapon upgrades. When activated, this upgrade changes all your projectiles to a striking red, no matter their upgrade status. For those with fully upgraded weapons (that typically fire green instead of blue), grabbing a third identical weapon grants the Supercharge (Rapid Fire) boost, along with a brand-new red look for your shots!

### My 1UPs, Thank You
In this major update, any extra lives you collect during a level are now yours to keep as you advance. This means if you finish a level with more lives than you started, those additional lives will carry over to the next stage.

### Visual Enhancements to Level Backgrounds
We’ve revisited some level backgrounds, adding intricate details that highlight the unspoken narratives at play within Iron Meat’s story. Enhancements include a segment where a helicopter takes down Meat monsters in Forest, spikes for the midboss on Base, surviving pilots in the ending credits, and explosive impacts from Meat meteors on Train.

### Other Updates
Besides minor bug fixes, we’ve made several enhancements:
– Enhanced default damage for the “E,” “U,” and “M” guns.
– Added more Meat in various sections of the Moon Base.
– Streamlined patterns in the MI-24 helicopter boss fight for clarity.
– Balanced levels for fair gameplay (e.g., Meat worms are now killable on Base upon appearance, and Meat Mouth Doors on Train are destructible).

These changes are just the beginning of what’s in store for Iron Meat, with even more content planned in future updates. You can dive into Iron Meat right now!
