Pokémon Go is stepping up its game at Major League Baseball stadiums, marking a new and exciting collaboration with the American sports league. This partnership is set to offer an entertaining twist for fans who want something more interactive while the action unfolds on the diamond.
Kicking off with the 2025 season’s opening day, this initiative will run for three whole years. Fans visiting MLB parks can look forward to exploring home team-themed PokéStops and Gyms. Additionally, there will be various Routes within each venue that players can follow to earn rewards, adding a fresh layer of fun to game day.
But that’s not all – there will be special bonuses up for grabs! These include in-game baseball caps sporting the home team’s colors, exclusive timed research missions during the matches, and adorable baseball-themed backgrounds for Pikachu. Be sure to check out the themed nights for these extras. Keep in mind, though, that the schedule for these events might see some changes along the way.
“We’re thrilled to join forces with MLB to make Pokémon Go even more enjoyable and interactive for fans at ballparks nationwide,” said Sarah Gilarsky, Niantic’s head of business development. “Blending the digital thrills of Pokémon Go with the live excitement of a baseball game is a fantastic way for friends and families to connect, bonding over their shared loves of Pokémon and baseball.”
