TinyBuild, known for both developing and publishing games, has recently sold its quality assurance branch, Red Cerberus. The deal has been sealed with TestFly, a firm specializing in game testing, for a tidy sum of $1.5 million, all paid upfront upon the deal’s closure.
Kevin Chelius, the CEO of TestFly, expressed his enthusiasm for the acquisition, saying, “We’re really excited to have Red Cerberus join the TestFly team. Their expertise and solid reputation align perfectly with our mission to elevate game testing standards. This acquisition not only underscores our promise to support developers and publishers in delivering top-notch gaming experiences worldwide but also strengthens our foothold in the Latin American market.”
Sharing his thoughts on the sale, Alex Nichiporchik, the head of TinyBuild, commented, “Selling Red Cerberus is a significant step in refining our portfolio and honing in on what we excel at—creating and expanding exceptional intellectual property. Red Cerberus has been an invaluable ally in our journey, and I’m grateful for the hard work of their entire team.”
He further added, “By reallocating resources to our primary creative endeavors, we aim to maximize long-term revenue potential with the release of new game intellectual properties. We’re looking forward to unveiling certain promising titles in 2025 and are excited about what lies ahead for TinyBuild.”
