Xur is back in Destiny 2, bringing a fresh collection of exotic and legendary gear for Guardians to peruse, though only for a short while. With Episode Heresy on a brief hiatus between Acts, players get a chance to take a breather and snag some gear, including goodies from the new Sundered Doctrine dungeon.
Earlier, Destiny 2 had a notable update from Bungie, addressing several bugs and glitches affecting the game. This included adjustments to activities like Trials of Osiris and Sundered Doctrine, and some exotic gear like the Speaker’s Sight, among others.
For the weekend warrior, Xur is here again, armed with a new loadout of gear ready for you to explore. Check out his whereabouts and what’s in store this weekend, including his exotic cipher quest and a lineup of exotic and legendary pieces for the weekend of February 28, 2025.
Heading to The Tower? Xur has settled down in the Bazaar section. So, no more guessing games about his location when the weekend hits, making it easier to see what goods he has in stock.
To get a hold of Xur, simply fast travel to the Bazaar. Once there, head to the section where Ikora and Hawthorne usually hang out and make your way to the Ramen Shop at the back. Xur is tucked away in the alley on the right!
Xur continues to offer his usual array of weekly quests, exotics, and legendary items. These quests not only allow the purchase of the second fated engram but are also essential for acquiring legacy exotic gear from the Tower kiosk. Players can snag a new cipher by completing strikes and engaging in crucible or gambit matches. Team up with clan mates or tackle more challenging activities for bonus points.
This weekend, Xur presents the following exotic armors: the Apotheosis Veil for Warlocks, promising health and ability energy upon Super activation, the Aeon Swift gauntlets for Hunters focused on rapid hits and ally support, and the Actium War Rig for Titans, refining auto rifle and machine gun ammo sustain. While each has its perks, their attribute distributions might not make them a must-have for everyone.
Moving onto weapons, Xur’s arsenal variety sees a notable upgrade in Year 7 with a scoring system, rewards, and a slew of new options. You’ll find catalysts for The Prospector and Graviton Lance, along with The Xurfboard vehicle and other goodies like the Exotic Cipher, Enhancement Prisms, and a mysterious Strange Gift.
In terms of exotic weapons, Year 7’s overhaul lets Xur consistently offer multiple options on each visit. This time around, he brings back the mighty Hawkmoon hand cannon, the fast-firing Huckleberry SMG, the power-packed Lord of Wolves shotgun, and the explosive Wardcliff Coil rocket launcher.
As for legendary items, Xur’s got armor and weapons priced at 50 Legendary Shards and 1000 Glimmer each. Inventory highlights include the kinetic sidearm Farewell, the Nightshade pulse rifle, and more heavyweights like the Blast Battue grenade launcher. Plus, Xur’s offering the Kairos Function Armor Set for those looking to augment their Guardian’s appearance.
Destiny 2, ever the enthralling universe, invites players to uncover solar system secrets and engage with its captivating story. Whether going solo or teaming up with friends, the quest for unique gear and unforgettable experiences continues. Join the fight, harness your Guardian’s prowess, and forge your legend in the stars.
